NCSO ANNOUNCES LARCENY AND SCHEME TO DEFRAUD ARREST

LOCKPORT – Sheriff Michael Filicetti announces the arrest of 34-year old Jose Estremera Casiano of Lockport after a fraud and larceny investigation conducted by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau. Estremera Casiano is accused of issuing multiple bad checks to Cornerstone Federal Credit Union in order to obtain property from area residents.

Estremera Casiano was charged with two counts of Issuing a Bad Check (B  misdemeanor), one count of Scheme to Defraud in the 2nd degree (A misdemeanor) and one count of Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree (D felony). Estremera Casiano is being held at the Niagara County Jail awaiting centralized  arraignment. He is also held on numerous outstanding warrants from surrounding states.
