WHEATFIELD – Sheriff Michael Filicetti announces the arrest of 50 year old Kristian L. Green of Niagara Falls following a traffic stop conducted on Niagara Falls Boulevard in the City of Niagara Falls. On June 9th Niagara County Sheriff’s Deputy N. Ross observed a 2006 Lexus operated by Green traveling west bound at a high rate of speed on Niagara Falls Boulevard in the Town of Wheatfield.
Radar confirmed that the vehicle was traveling at speeds above one hundred miles-per-hour. Deputy Ross, who was traveling east on Niagara Falls Boulevard, turned his patrol vehicle around to pursue the suspect vehicle west bound. Deputy Ross caught up with the speeding vehicle at Niagara Falls Boulevard near Tuscarora Road, in the City of Niagara Falls. Deputy Ross initiated a traffic stop at which point the suspect vehicle yielded and pulled into a nearby parking lot without incident.
Subsequent to the traffic stop, Green was given field sobriety tests after which he was placed under arrest. Green was charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st Degree (Felony), Reckless Driving, Operating a Motor Vehicle without an Interlock Device along with multiple other Vehicle and Traffic charges. Green was remanded to the Niagara County Jail where he was set to appear for arraignment in CAP Court on 06-10-21 at 09:00 hours.
