LOCKPORT – The Discover Niagara shuttle will now be operating with stops in Lockport, the company announced today with an update to their website. “New for 2021, we now connect Niagara Falls and Lockport, and offer a loop to all the Lockport points of interest,” the company announced this morning.
Area politicians also gathered to celebrate the added stop within the city, hopeful that the route’s expansion will help attract more traffic to area businesses. The Discover Niagara Shuttle currently serves downtown Niagara Falls, New York State Parks, Niagara University, Niagara Power Project Power Vista, Lewiston, Youngstown and Old Fort Niagara.
Senator Rob Ortt said:
“Today, it was announced that the Discover Niagara Shuttle will now stop in Lockport. Our region is full of rich history and entertainment. Now, the Discover Niagara Shuttle will connect residents and visitors of Niagara Falls to the historic canal locks here in Lockport! Thank you to all the WNY legislators, federal, state, and local, and the Discover Niagara team for helping make this a reality.”
“I was truly honored to sponsor the legislation that now paves the way for the Discover Niagara shuttle to visit Lockport several times a week during key tourism season. This shuttle will indeed serve as a critical catalyst to helping our local businesses and tourism destinations attract new visitors to our historic Erie Canal and Lockport Locks corridor.”
