A mass vaccination clinic is coming to Genesee Community College according to reports from WGRZ, echoing plans reported during Saturday’s Finger Lakes Control Room call. According to the report from Robert Hackford’s Twitter feed, “A 7-day only mass vaccination site is coming to Genesee Community College according to an Orleans County spokesperson.”
This site will be open starting March 5th for Orleans, Genesee, and Wyoming Counties. The goal is 500 doses per day, for a total of 3,500 doses over the course of one week.
This additional, (yet temporary), vaccination site comes after a letter from representatives in Orleans, Genesee, and Wyoming Counties for a more accessible location conveniently positioned within the region.
Any details on how to sign up, or how second doses will be administered, has not been confirmed. We will post more as information is released.
