Lockport Man Arrested for Vehicular Manslaughter

Sheriff Michael Filicetti announced the arrest of Joshua M. Kalenda, 29, of the City of Lockport Wednesday evening.

The charges include one count of Vehicular Manslaughter in the 2nd degree; a class D felony, two counts of Driving While Ability Impaired by a Drug; both unclassified misdemeanors, one count of Driving While Ability Impaired by Combined Influence of Drugs; an unclassified misdemeanor, and one count of Failure to Keep Right as a traffic infraction.

He was arraigned yesterday by the Hon. Danielle Restaino in the Centralized Arraignment Part Court at the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office. This arrest is a result of the investigation into a fatal motor vehicle accident which occurred on Campbell Blvd. in the Town of Pendleton on 11/20/20. Kalenda will have a future date in the Town of Pendleton Court.
