NCSO and District Attorney Promote “Operation SafeCam”

The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, District Attorney’s Office and the Intelligence/Crime Analysis Center are asking area residents to join in the fight against crime, by registering their personal security cameras to aid local law enforcement with criminal investigations.

This program allows citizens and businesses to actively participate in keeping their communities safe by quickly providing video evidence to law enforcement. In the event that a crime occurs in your neighborhood, investigators will know whom to contact in order to obtain footage of the incident.

“Cameras reduce crime, are a deterrent, and they are a powerful tool in righting wrongs. Criminals need to know that Niagara County is not an easy place for them to operate, and with your help we can further our investigations and prosecutions,” said a post by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office on Facebook.
