COVID-19 Vaccine Hits Medina Mayor’s Office, Fire Department

Matthew Jackson, Chief of the Medina Fire Department, expressed his gratitude yesterday, as fresh doses of the COVID-19 vaccine began making rounds for first responders in Orleans County.  “We would like to thank the Orleans County Emergency Management, Genesee & Orleans County Health Departments, NYS Department of Health and Orleans Community Health for making this happen,” Jackson said in a post on Facebook.

He added, “We will see this process grow quickly in the coming weeks as we head into other phases of the vaccination schedule according to NYS Department of Health guidelines.”

Medina Mayor Mike Sidari also received his first shot of the vaccination on Tuesday, stating, “Today, I received the first vaccine for COVID. I urge everyone, when it’s your time to receive the vaccine, take advantage. This is the start of the end of COVID.”
