National Grid Bolsters Workforce in Preparation of Storm Damage Around New York State

Upstate NY Customers: We’ve been preparing for a potentially powerful winter storm that is forecasted to impact much of the region beginning today. Our statewide staffing has increased to include 1,900 line, service, tree, damage assessment & public safety workers.

This field force includes external resources and will be deployed as necessary, as high winds, rain & heavy snow are forecasted through Saturday for several counties in western & central NY, including communities east of Lake Erie & Lake Ontario.

In eastern New York forecasts call for wind, heavy rain & the possibility of isolated flooding. We will continue to closely monitor the weather.
