WNY Classic Car Organization Raises Over $10,000 for Charities Since June

Steve Barnes, Founder of WNY (Western New York) Hot Rods, Customs and Classics, started his organization in June, as a way to work around the ever growing guidelines for events and activities in the area.  He remarked, “I founded WNY Hot Rods, Customs and Classics because car shows kept getting shut down and I just bought my late father’s and I dream car; a 1923 Ford T Bucket and had nowhere to show it off, so I decided to put on car parades.”

After a handful of successful parades, Barnes aimed the organization’s efforts towards altruism, gathering donations for a variety of charities around Western New York.  A few of those include the Compass House teen homeless shelter in Buffalo, Niagara and Erie Counties SPCA, Salvation Army, WNY Valor, Odin’s Animal Rescue, Feed More WNY, and Meals on Wheels.

“We participate in and host birthday parades, graduation parades and more…anything to put smiles on faces and make dreams come true,” says Barnes. He reports the organization has raised more than $10,000 dollars, spreading the proceeds to needy organizations within the region.
