A past aide of Governor Andrew Cuomo platformed allegations of sexual harassment using Twitter on Sunday morning. “Yes, @NYGovCuomo sexually harassed me for years. Many saw it, and watched,” Lindsey Boylan said, adding, “I could never anticipate what to expect: would I be grilled on my work (which was very good) or harassed about my looks. Or would it be both in the same conversation? This was the way for years.”
Boylan, 36, who is currently running for Manhattan Borough President, worked for the Cuomo administration from March of 2015 to October 2018. Her positions were titled as V.P. of Empire State Development and then as special adviser to the Governor on economic development.
Boylan clarified in later tweets, she has no desire to share details with the press, stating, “To be clear: I have no interest in talking to journalists. I am about validating the experience of countless women and making sure abuse stops.”
