Mariachi De Oro Mexican Grill in Medina Shuts Down After Server Tests Positive for COVID-19

MEDINA — Mariachi De Oro Mexican Grill on Maple Ridge Road shut down abruptly Thursday evening after a worker at the restaurant tested positive for COVID-19.

A post on the establishment’s Facebook read: “A member of our team resulted positive with COVID this morning and to keep all our amigos safe we must quarantine those who were exposed!”

The COVID positive employee is described as a server by the restaurant.  A second post explained the situation further, stating,

“The member who tested positive worked last night as a server.  They did show up to work today but left before coming in contact with any customers. They continued all protocols, disinfecting their areas, hand washing, and mask on at all times.

“They did not have any contact directly with food, other than taking dishes over to the table. We are truly sorry we can’t be of much help, but the department of health is aware. If any of you feel sick with any symptoms, please get tested and quarantine. Once again, we are sorry about the news. All the team members that worked with them have been placed under quarantine as of today!”

The staff of the Mariachi De Oro Mexican Grill has been placed on quarantine.  The establishment has encouraged patrons to reach out if they have any questions.
