OCSO Gives October Incident Reports from Varying Departments

Monthly Report- October 2020 

The Orleans County Sheriff’s Department 911 Dispatch Center released the following statistics:

  • 2159 police incidents, including 947 events for Sheriff’s Road Patrol,
  • 208 for the New York State Police
  • 1004 calls for the Village police agencies of Lyndonville, Medina, Albion, and Holley.
  • 622 Fire/EMS related calls dispatched countywide with 475 of those calls emergency medical in nature and 3 drug overdoses. 

Sheriff’s Dept. Road Patrol Deputies incidents were also tallied:

57 automobile accidents, including 4 with injury and 40 car-deer collisions. 116 service attempts

53 subpoenas, civil, or court papers successfully served

The Sheriff’s Animal Control Division Incidents:

  • 118 incidents including 26 stray or loose animals, 2 animal bite complaints, 9 neighbor dog problems, and several other miscellaneous animal calls.
  • 9 animals were taken in to shelter on a voluntary surrender.
