NCSO Gives Details on Rapids Road Vehicle Collision Hospitalizing Juvenile Pedestrians

LOCKPORT – On November 10th, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a motor vehicle accident where a vehicle struck multiple pedestrians on the side of the road.  

Initial investigation reveals that there were five juvenile females walking along Rapids Road, when a vehicle struck three of those girls. The girls ages ranged from 9 to 14 years of age.  

Two of the juvenile females were transported by ambulance to Oishei Children’s Hospital and are in stable condition.  One juvenile female was transported to Oishei Children’s Hospital by Mercy Flight and is in critical condition.  

The male driver of the vehicle was not injured.  

The cause of the accident is currently being investigated by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit.  

Names of those involved in the accident are not being released at this time.
