Erie County Department of Health Identifies COVID-19 Threat to Lockport City School District

(Classes will go virtual Friday, November 6th)

On Thursday, November 5, 2020 the Erie County Department of Health (ECDOH) notified the Lockport City School District (LCSD) of one (1) confirmed positive COVID-19 case impacting Lockport High School, Lockport High School West, Anna Merritt Elementary School and Charles Upson Elementary School.  

The Lockport City School District is fully cooperating with the Erie County Department of Health by providing information for contact tracing. The ECDOH will contact any individual who they believe may have been in close contact with the individual.

Staff and students will not report to Lockport High School, Lockport High School West, Anna Merritt Elementary School and Charles Upson Elementary School for instruction on Friday, November 6, 2020. All staff and students in these four buildings will work remotely on Friday, November 6, 2020. This will allow the custodial staff in these four buildings to clean and sanitize identified areas more thoroughly at each school in addition to daily cleaning and sanitizing protocol.

Lockport High School BOCES CTE students will participate in instruction remotely on Friday, November 6, 2020.

Meals for students in all four buildings may be picked up Friday, November 6, from 3PM to 5PM at North Park Junior High School. 

School will resume on Monday, November 9, 2020 as scheduled in all four buildings.
