Monthly tours of Mansion and Theater begin Sunday, October 25
LOCKPORT – Fall is the time of year where people take advantage our historical surroundings and enjoy learning about the past. For the first time, the Kenan Center will begin offering guided history tours of the Kenan Center Campus, including the Kenan House Gallery, Taylor Theater and grounds.
“Our campus is one of the most beautiful cultural assets in WNY and we are excited to provide our community with a deeper dive into the history and spaces that make up the Kenan Center Campus,” says Parrish Gibbons Herzog, Spokeswoman for the Kenan Center.
The 45-minute tour will explore the Kenan House Gallery, the Taylor Theater located in a converted carriage house, the gardens and more. Attendees will gain insight on the Kenan Family, and those who lived there before. Tours will take place every last Sunday of the month, with a maximum of 10 people per tour. Each tour concludes with light refreshments.
Advance registration is required by calling 716-433-2617 or visiting www.kenancenter.org. All proceeds support the preservation and programming of the Kenan Center Campus.
