Arrests Made in Murder Investigation, Two Teens Charged with Intentional Homicide

Police Chief Steven Abbott announced today that two teens have been charged with intentional homicide in the shooting death of Cheyenne Farewell on Saturday, the pair described as being a 16 and 17- year-old were arrested Tuesday night.

Farewell was a SUNY Brockport student, native to Medina, and visiting South Niagara Street for a Halloween Party. 

According to Abbott, this investigation is still underway, and the public is encouraged to share any details which could be pertinent to the case. 

Currently, the identity of those charged has not been released, due to their status as minors.

Niagara County District Attorney Caroline Wojtaszek announced the pair will initially be charged in youth court, this is in accordance with ‘Raise the Age’ laws, but the case could be moved to criminal court.
