Niagara County Apple Farm Hit by Thieves, State Police Request Public’s Assistance

The New York State Police are seeking assistance after Sanger Farms in Porter discovered approximately $5,000 worth of apples missing straight from the orchard.  According to the owners at Sanger Farms, the fruit was stolen sometime between September 7 and September 21.  That period leaving the apples unattended between the scheduled spraying for insects.

The private farm, which does not entertain public picking events, said the apples were mostly plucked from the bottom of the trees.  No apples were found on the ground.
