Filicetti Announces October Drug Drop Off in Niagara County, Hopes to Curb Access to Opioids

“As a member of the Niagara County Opiate Law Enforcement Task Force we have looked at several different strategies to combat opioid overdoses in this county. The drug drop off being hosted is one way to reduce the number of drugs in our community. We will continue to utilize our existing drop off locations and work with our partners to combat this issue,” said Niagara County Sheriff Michael Filicetti on the upcoming event.

In partnership with the DEA, the NCSO will be participating in a prescription and over-the-counter medication take-back at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston on Saturday October 24th from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The Sheriff’s Office encourages you to stop by with your unwanted drugs to have them safely destroyed, no questions asked.
