“Arbor Day is actually celebrated the last Friday in April in New York State. Due to the pandemic, we were unable to hold it then. Please join us for a delayed celebration of trees,” said the Middleport Village Clerk in an update on the event.
According to the clerk, one tree will be going in this year, an Evergreen. The event will be overseen by Heather Maedel who heads the Middleport Tree Committee.
The planting of this tree will take place on October 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at the corner of Park Avenue and Main Street.
