Kenan Center Hosts Buffalo Society of Artists 124th Catalogue Exhibition

Appointments available for in-person viewing start Saturday

LOCKPORT, NY: The Buffalo Society of Artists’ (BSA) 124th Catalogue Exhibition at the Kenan House Gallery is one of two juried exhibitions held by the BSA each year to enrich and educate the community through high artistic expression.

The BSA is one of the oldest continually operating arts organizations in the country. Started in 1891 to promote and expand the awareness of Western New York artists, they maintain the same mission today.

“This vibrant collection of BSA works fills the entirety of the Kenan House Gallery, bringing into the space a new exhibition for the first time since the impact of COVID” says Alyssa Mays, Events and Programs Manager. “The Kenan House Gallery is again open to the public by appointment and for small groups.”

The BSA 124th Catalogue Exhibition will launch online virtually with a series of videos and a photo gallery on Friday, September 11. The Kenan House Gallery will be open to the public for in-person viewing starting Saturday, September 12. The virtual experiences can be found at

In-person gallery hours are available by appointment Monday – Friday 12-5 p.m. and Saturday 2 – 4 p.m. Please call 716-433-2617 to set up your visit. Max of 10 visitors at a time.

  1. Can’t wait to see the launch tomorrow! I have always been a fan of the work that Buffalo Society of Artists put out each year. And though this year is a bit different due to covid, I suspect the exhibition and work is no different. We need more artistic expression during this quarantine anyway.. really looking forward to it!
