“They (Amazon) wanted approximately 150 acres in Grand Island. We have a full 200 acres on the southside of the Medina Business Park that we keep for larger projects like this,” said a representative from the OEDA Thursday night.
As far as Amazon’s mention of Medina for a possible location in a report from Buffalo Business First, the representative noted, “All we know right now is that the Medina Business Park is back in the mix. Along with other sites in the region. The MBP has the necessary acreage Amazon is looking for and is already zoned industrial.”
The proposed project would build a 3.8-million-square-foot warehouse once approved by the hosting municipality.
