‘Yoga in the Garden’ held its first class at the Kenan Center in Lockport Thursday night, and plenty of adults seeking a mindful experience and peaceful exercise made their way to participate.
The ‘Yoga in the Garden’ program describes itself as:
“A slow paced Hatha yoga class that is appropriate for beginners and experienced yogis, using language that is easy to follow. Instruction blends postures to increase flexibility, balance, and strength, while simultaneously calming the nervous system. Class will begin with breath awareness, move into the physical practice, and conclude with deep relaxation.”
Three classes remain, happening on August 6th, August 13th, and August 20th beginning at 5:30 p.m. Each class is ten dollars for participation. The Kenan Center is located at 433 Locust Street directly behind the Taylor Theater & Kenan Montessori.
In the case of rain, class with be located inside the Kenan Center Arena at 195 Beattie Avenue.
