Medina Mayor Thanks Neighboring Emergency Services for Aid During Flash Floods, Over Ninety Calls in One Day

Medina Mayor Mike Sidari took to Facebook Monday night, thanking emergency services crews after an onslaught of flash floods inundated local responders with over ninety calls in just one day.

In addition to thanking the local Medina Fire Department, Sidari expressed thanks to neighboring departments who heeded the call and came to the Village’s aid. The statement reads:

“I would like to thank the Medina Fire Department for the effort tonight on the 90+ calls for service including a MVA, smoke investigation, lighting strike, and an ambulance transfer out of the hospital. These calls tonight could not have been accomplished without the help of our neighboring departments pumping water out of basements and back yards. Thank you to East Shelby, Shelby, Ridgeway, Lyndonville, and Barre Fire Departments.”
