Gasport Artist Paints Her Way to International Guild of Realism Show in Charleston

Local artist and owner of ‘Kathleen Giles Studio’, Kathleen Giles, has made an impression on the international art community with her painting entitled “Heading Out”.

Revealing the invite on Facebook, Giles said, “Good news, my painting “Heading Out” was accepted in the International Guild of Realism show at the prestigious Principle Gallery in Charleston!! I am thrilled to have my painting included in this show!  Hopefully, we will be able to travel to Charleston in October to do the meet and greet and see the show in all its glory…”

The International Guild of Realism was founded in 2002 by leading artists within the field.  The organization’s overarching goals, as listed on their website, “recognize the best realists working today, create gallery and museum exhibition opportunities, provide advertising and marketing support for IGOR members”, and lastly, “offer a bridge between art collectors and the highest quality realist art created by our members.”
