Being an essential service, ‘Brothers Chicken and Waffle Spot’ was able to operate throughout the pandemic, and business has been good, says co-owner Fred Poole.
“It picked up a little bit to be honest with you. During the pandemic, you know, everyone is in the house and they don’t want to keep cooking.”
The eatery has been open now about one-and-a-half years, serving-up plates of fried ribs, steak subs, shrimp, grits, and of course, chicken and waffles.
“We got a lot of pizzerias around here,” Poole remarked, adding, “So, we focused on making something different than the norm.”
In response to the steady business from area residents, Poole expressed his appreciation. “I just want to tell everyone who came in to support me, I appreciate it. It’s a blessing that I can come out and bring something different to the community.”
