Assemblyman Mike Norris (R,C,I,Ref-Lockport) took time today, delivering a message for area residents on honoring the fallen during this Memorial Day Weekend.
“It is certainly much different than we are used to,” Norris remarked, adding, “Our traditional celebrations are just not the same.”
He continued, “However, it is critically important that we pause and remember all of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so we could live in freedom in the United States of America today.”
Next, the Assemblyman made a request, “So, I would ask you, on this Memorial Day Weekend: Yes, enjoy, but also to pause and reflect on those soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Before they became patriots, they were sons and daughters, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, spouses, or family and friends to many others, and they never returned.”
Lastly, Norris said, “So, let us just pause and remember all of those who died for our freedom.”
