SunBeam Laboratories Sanitizer Giveaway is a Hit – Those in Need Pick Up Free Supplies in Lockport

SunBeam Laboratories is a large-scale industrial alcohol permittee and is a WNY FDA listed leader in hand sanitizer manufacturing and disinfectant production during the current Covid-19 outbreak.

Before the outbreak, SunBeam’s primary production lines revolved around CBD extraction.  Chris Casacci, Co-Owner at SunBeam Laboratories, said, “We made hand sanitize before, just never at this level.”

Expanding, he unveiled the high market demand for this local product. “It has been insane.  We’re open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, with a full staff just going like crazy.”  With these expanded efforts, Casacci reports his company is producing 50,000 bottles of hand sanitizer per day.

Although, today’s giveaway of sanitizer was an act of altruism.  A general outreach for those who have not felt safe enough to leave the house in Niagara County, or had not the resources to get this fast selling, high-demand product.  Cassaci reported the donation goal for this giveaway was 5,000 bottles of hand sanitizer.

Rick Cohen, Owner at Transit Drive-In, watches the sanitizer giveaway with his dog. He quickly heeded the call from ‘SunBeam’ for a well-placed pick-up spot.

The company has also expanded their efforts in mask production, but the amount brought were scooped up quickly by those in need.

Lastly, regarding the inflatable costumes and upbeat jams, Casacci said, “We were originally going to do it in a serious way, and then we thought people really need to smile.  They need to laugh, and they need to have five seconds to just have some joy.”  He added that “for some people this may be the first time they’ve left the house in 45 days.  It’s been a tough time for Erie and Niagara Counties.”
