The Mayor, in a statement released Tuesday night, posed a relevant question. “I find it kind of odd that our business district has at least 80% of the similar products that the BIG BOX stores sell, with 100+ times the shoppers.” He added, “Yet, they are open, and our hometown businesses have to stay closed.”
Also, Sidari made a request of Village residents, “Please shop local at the stores that are open if you can. When our hometown stores can reopen, PLEASE support them. They are the ones who support our local benefit fundraisers, but most importantly their families depend on you.”
Lastly, the Mayor uploaded a post from the Medina Area Partnership, a local group of area business owners dedicated to improving local life in the Village of Medina.
The Partnership’s post states:
“If the last couple months have taught us anything, it’s that the Medina community is full of strength. The support you’re providing to your neighbors, friends, family, and our small business community, will never be forgotten. Stay safe, well, and remember our best days are still around the corner.“
