State of Emergency Hitting Smaller Communities — Medina Mayor Makes it Official

A statement from Medina Mayor Mike Sidari to the public:

“I have declared a State of Emergency in the Village of Medina, NY effective 12:01am April 1, 2020 in connection with the NYS and Orleans County State of Emergency’s. 

“By emergency order the following areas will be closed to the public in order to assist in the lowering the spreading of the Coronavirus COVID-19:

-All Village playground equipment including the skate park.

-All Village buildings except for employees and or by appointment only.

“These areas will be monitored by Medina Police and Fire Departments, Code Enforcement Officer and the DPW Superintendent. 

“This order will be reviewed in 5 days for continued enforcement.”
