Niagara County Clerk’s Office Now Fully Closed

Niagara County Clerk Joseph Jastrzemski announced the Clerk’s Office would be fully closed to the public as of 4:30 p.m. today, March 24, 2020.

The office is located at 175 Hawley Street in Lockport which houses a number of other County departments (some still operating, some not). As for now, the Clerk’s Office at this location will be closed.

Jastrzemski said this closure now includes attorney and title companies closing real estate deals.  Jastrzemski had previously closed the DMVs, Pistol Permit and Passport Office along with suspending other services.

The Niagara County Clerk’s Office Land Record Department will still record documents, but those documents must be submitted via E-Record or sent to the Niagara County Clerk’s Office via USPS/UPS/FedEx.  We will not accept any personal service or couriers.  Instructions for E-Recording are available on the County Clerk’ website.

The Niagara County Clerk’s Office will continue to update the public on any changes to these closings.
