Opening of ‘The Odd Couple’ at Lockport Palace Theatre hits mark for attendees, crowd’s laughter fills building throughout showing

A slightly reimagined rendition of ‘The Odd Couple’ took stage Thursday night at the Historic Lockport Palace Theatre where a robust crowd happily tossed aside their cares for a little adult humor and pithy dialogue.

Left to Right: Susie Parker (Sylvie) – Geoff Koplas (Jesus Constazuela) – Brian Dick (Manolo Constazuela) – Crystal Elliot (Olive Madison) – Theresa Werth (Florence Unger) – Jennifer Neroni-Trupo (Renee) – Kathy Dick (Vera) – Performance Director: Trish Stacey (Mickey)

“I like to do a comedy this time of the year because of the weather,” stated Executive Director of The Palace, Chris Parada.

He continued, “It’s kind of dreary and cold, and we want to get people out to just have fun.”

When asked how business is doing, Parada gave insight on his expanding customer base:

“With our ticket database you capture some information, such as the address.  We’re drawing in people from places like Rochester, West Seneca, and even Canada.”

When asked if Parada feels this reflects the Lockport Palace as a growing presence in the Regional Theater market, he responded plainly, “absolutely.”

‘The Odd Couple’ continues showing at The Palace until January 26th, tickets can be purchased over the phone by calling the box office at (716) 438-1130, or directly at the box office granted seating is still available.
